Jennifer Tenace is a fine art painter who does gallery work in addition to mural projects in her local cities. I chose to interview her because I am truly inspired by her work and her path as an artist. She currently resides in Santiago, Chile. Check out her website here
What do you see as your future in art?
At the present, I’m talking with an activist/environmentalist about future Eco Art Projects – new experience for me, and very excited. I’m also interested in going to school for Art Therapy, and have recently befriended someone with that particular degree.
You spoke of Eco Art earlier, what exactly is that?
Using things in nature like snow ice or rain, and doing projects that is not going to ruin the nature, and also possibly make the current environment better. Some artists work with scientists to find ways to support the landscape, and many times is tied to activism; moss graffiti, for example.
What singular piece of advice would you give to an aspiring fine artist?
Do it for the enjoyment of creating. Don’t be tied to the outcome. It will be successful if you’re into it.
