I am a 23-year-old visual artist and freelance illustrator working out of Huntington Beach, California. Art has been my most natural form of expression and self-exploration throughout the entirety of my life. I am now pushing my skills to an advanced level through studio-art classes and the illustration program at Orange Coast College as well as personal endeavors into more fields of art not yet offered at my school, expanding not only my technical skill set and experience but also my artistic perspective and conceptual power. Ink, acrylic, water color, sculpture, graphite, charcoal, collage, pastel, digital, and screen prints are all mediums I currently work in and explore, the list grows larger as I continue to grow.
My renderings often delve into musings of duality and conceptualizing the subconscious shadow of self, expressed through tedious detail and expressive color. I strive to inspire a dualistic impact upon people with my art; inspiring a sense of awe as well as an uneasiness paralleled to facing a life-changing situation that forces the observer into a self-reflective state of mind. It is my belief that the acknowledgement of both a limited subjective reality and the ineffable nature of the universe are key to realizing our potential as individuals and a collective species. My current goal is to push more people towards self realizations pertaining to life, death, consciousness, and all things silly.
